L E I T H O U S E launches its first talk series “The Flesh” with a conversation between historian Peter Jones and model and broadcaster Jean Campbell.

Together they’ll trace the origins of the Seven Deadly Sins from the writings of a fourth-century ascetic monk, and consider how they manifest today, from Ozempic and self-image to envy fuelled by social media.

The talk will draw on depictions of the sins throughout art history and literature, as well as Jean’s experience as the host of a critically acclaimed podcast exploring mental health and pain.

Our Speakers…

Jean Campbell

Jean Campbell’s career as a model has seen her work with Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, and Alexander McQueen, and appear on more than a dozen Vogue covers.

Beneath her meteoric rise lies an extraordinary story of resilience, beginning at the age of twelve with a diagnosis of hip dysplasia- a genetic condition that led to years of surgery and recovery.
That experience later inspired Jean to create I’m Fine, a groundbreaking podcast about pain and the body, which debuted in 2024 to critical acclaim.
